My $600 find

So what kind of started out as a joke, has become a reality. Over the last year or more, my cousin and I have dreamed of getting a vacation home. Or a camper. My husband and I have discussed this also but his dreams are much more tidy and expensive than mine. I love projects. I love seeing ugly turned to beautiful. I love working with tools and color and creating. So on the 10th of May, when my cousin Cheryl sent me a message that there was a $600 travel trailer within 25 miles or so, I decided we should check it out. Of course, as always, she was busy working so I texted my brother. He chose to go get groceries (or so he says) instead of helping out his poor sister. I got a hold of my nephew, Cody, and he was up for adventure. I knew they wouldn't kidnap me or take advantage of me if I had this big fellow with me.

Cheryl's Facebook find. She's always looking out for me.

Cody and I. We are both so excited! Can you tell?
I fell in love instantly. It was sitting there, so lonely and neglected. Cody checked out stuff (water damage, frame, tires, etc.) while I daydreamed of better days ahead. Since I knew other people were showing interest online, I decided to pay the full price and take it home with me. Mind you, I had texted my husband earlier and warned him that I was going to look at one, the one and only thing he said was "where are you gonna put it?" in other words, "don't bring a piece of junk home and store it in my yard. My kind and sweet grocery store shopping brother, who also likes to dabble in projects, said I could park it there. It has the word Forester buried under the paint and the title claims it is a 1971.
